Have a good one
An exit greeting that seems to be gaining popularity is 'Have a good one.' I hate this. Is it really that hard to keep track of the time enough to say 'Have a good morning' or 'Have a good evening'? Suggesting 'Have a good weekend' would be simply crazy talk. 'One' is just so ambiguous; so mediocre; so boring. I feel like replying "Oh, how did you know I was having a colonoscopy today?" as 'colonoscopy' is as viable of a replacement for 'one' as 'morning' is. But, alas, I'm sure these people wouldn't get it. They can't even tell what time of day it is.
