UNESCO Young Digital Creators
The University of Art and Design Helsinki along with UNESCO have created an kit for educators called the UNESCO Young Digital Creators. It involves giving software and lesson plans to educators wanting to teach young people how to create in the digital world. I think this is awesome. I'm so proud that they put Inkscape on the CD.

Metro around the world
Following the lead of Jon and Kees I found the list of metros that I've ridden.
Really, not that many. I need to step it up a notch. I think my favorite part about that site is looking through all the logos of various metro lines all over the world. Odd to me how many have "M" in them.

Save us from robots
I was reading through the Inkscape tagged images on Flickr and I came across this image. While the image is made in Inkscape, the story is the great part. Here's the crux of it:
At the end we opened the floor to questions and comments. An attendee stood up and said that he had always been worried that with computers and machines growing ever smarter and more powerful, one day they would overthrow mankind. But after seeing these new Web 2.0 tools, he is relieved that humans will always stay one step ahead of the machines. Hallelujah.
I feel safer now.
