I decided that a cool thing for us to do at the Inkscape booth at SCALE would be to have "micro-tutorials." Five minute speeches that talk about a single Inkscape features. We can then book times for them, and get people to show up at the booth. I also thought these would be useful as handouts. So these are what I've got done for the micro-tutorials. They have the webpage on them too, so they should make good handouts. They're all black and white, because I'm too cheap to print color for everyone at the conference. They're all in Inkscape's subversion repository.

Alignment
A flier to talk about the align and distribute dialog. It shows how objects and text can be organized. It also shows examples of clump and unclump, and it also does a remove overlaps.

Flier on gradients for SCALE

Gradients
The gradients flier goes through examples of radial and linear gradients in Inkscape. It also shows an example gradient with several points giving a real example of the offset variable. Lastly it points out the basic features of the gradient editor.

Flier on shapes for SCALE

Shapes
Shapes are the basic features required for drawing. This flier shows all the shapes available in Inkscape, and some of their advanced features. Nothing beats playing with randomized stars. It also tries to explain fill and stroke.

Text
Text is also important for most users. This flier looks busy but most of the text is just filler, showing how text can be transformed. Also on this flier is a screenshot pointing out the features of the font dialog.
