Well, about two weeks ago I got a new laptop. It is an Apple Powerbook G4 15", very cool. I would have to say that overall I am very happy with it. I love the screen especially.

What frustrates me the most right now is lack of hardware support for Linux. The ATI graphics card in it (Radeon 9700) works okay, but doesn't sleep (this is annoying). Also, the Airport Extreme (which uses a Broadcomm chip) doesn't work at all (and is unlikely to ever because of Broadcomm's insane policies on documentation, I would avoid the company like the plague because of this (both personally and professionally)). Finally, (and I'm sure that this is because I've configured it wrong - other people claim it works) I can't get my backlit keyboard to work.

So, while that sounds like a laundry list of things that I don't like -- I am still pretty happy. I love the design, the added processor power and the more RAM over my last laptop. I just wish Apple would lend a hand in making all the hardware play nice.
